Before joining Abacus, Amber didn't have a scheduled activity plan because of the incidents she had with other people using the service. 

She never went outside in the garden, and didn't have a sufficient outlet for expending her boundless energy. 

When she joined Abacus, staff recognised Amber's energetic nature and introduced a trampoline to her garden, which she loves jumping on. 

When he joined Abacus, Amir was under-weight and struggled to make independent choices about food. Sometimes he’d take food that wasn't his, and swallow mouthfuls without chewing. 

Abacus worked with Amir's family and a nutritionist to create a healthy meal plan that fitted with his cultural needs. 

When she joined Abacus, Natalie felt anxious about many aspects of daily life and struggled to do tasks independently.

Now, Natalie is looking after her home and making the most of her local community

Just a few weeks ago, Dom passed his driving test. Soon he hopes to drive away from his shared care home to a place of his own — exactly what he wants, and now within the realms of possibility.
