Up, Up and Away! A First Flight to Remember

For two sisters we support, a recent trip to Edinburgh was more than just a holiday - it was an unforgettable few days that began with an exciting first: their first time on a plane! 

From the moment they boarded, the trip delivered. Both sisters got to visit the cockpit and have their photo taken - not a bad way to start your first ever flight.

Once at their holiday destination, the pair made the most of every moment: pastries and hot chocolate, an open-top bus tour, photos at a house of illusions, a pose outside the castle, and a memorable encounter with a bagpipe player! They stayed together in a shared apartment alongside their support workers, making sure adventure lay just outside their doorstep.

The sisters were clear about how they felt. "Thank you so much to everyone involved in planning this trip... it was amaaazingggg," said one of the pair. Her sister agreed: "Thank you everyone for an amazing trip. I had such a lovely time and I really enjoyed myself."

Trips like this don't happen without careful planning, trusted relationships, and a team willing to make it work. But moments like these - a first flight, a cockpit visit, hot chocolate in a new city - are exactly why that effort matters.
