As we read through the latest Skills for Care report on the adult social care workforce, taking in the complexities of recruitment and retention in our sector, our conviction held firm: the people who dedicate their working lives to caring for others are remarkable – as are those who support, facilitate and champion that work. 

Dom has grown a lot. In confidence. In ambition. In independence. 

Just a few weeks ago, Dom passed his driving test. Soon he hopes to drive away from his shared care home to a place of his own — exactly what he wants, and now within the realms of possibility.

AI has officially entered the public sphere, bringing not only exciting possibilities but also a host of questions, concerns, and controversies. What seems clear is that AI is here to stay, so it's important that we engage with it safely, and with eyes wide open. That’s why some of our team recently spent a day at the ‘AI and the future of social work’ summit in Birmingham, hosted by Skills for Care and Social Work England.
